Teaching Philosophy

I believe dance is one of the most powerful gifts I’ve ever experienced. As a creative, I value bringing meaning into my movement by integrating who I am and the experiences I’ve encountered. Movement is one of the most universal languages, so I seek to use it to bring healing and inspiration to the audience and myself. Pursuing excellence in dance is a constant endeavor that should be fervently practiced. Simultaneously, I believe that artistic integrity and simple authenticity are the ways to perform impactful art. As an artist, I enjoy furthering my pursuit of different movement styles with a sense of abandonment. Willing and ambitious, I consider myself to be a dance researcher who is ceaselessly investigating. I believe the process is just as important as the product of a dance work. My resolute and creative nature is aided by a love for life and caring for those around me.
